Deadly
If something is deadly, it is likely or able to cause someone´s death, or has already caused someone´s death. Deadly can be used methaphorically to emphasize that a situation is extremely serious or is likely to have damaged effect. For example, a deadly error is likely to cause a very serious accident or problem; if someone says that they are deadly serious about something that they say, they are enphasizing that what are saying is true, even though i tis extremely unpleasant or undesirable.
